Techniques: Short Row Shoulder Shaping
Dates we meet: March 18 Please note: date has changed Day: Sunday Time: 1-3pm
Sweater shoulders are often shaped in one of two ways: straight across, which is easy to seam, but doesn't fit well, or by binding off 1/3 of the sts for each shoulder at a time, to produce a stair-step effect which fits better, but is more challenging to seam. In this class, you will learn how to use short rows to provide shoulder shaping without the stair step edge. You will also learn the 3-needle bind off, which allows you to bind off and seam at the same time.
Materials: Smooth, worsted weight yarn in a light or medium color (so you can see your stitches); US7 needles (3 of them) OR 1 pair US7 needles and 1 needle a size or two smaller.
