Intro to Two-Color Knitting:Faux Fair Isle Hat

Two-color knitting looks so impressive, but do not be intimidated! Knit a simple hat and learn the basic technique of knitting with two colors at the same time. Students will learn to hold the yarn in each hand - both picking and throwing, how to read a chart, and general information on fair isle and Norwegian knitting.
Materials: 2 skeins Mochi Plus yarn from Crystal Palace - skeins must be highly contrasting (our stock changes quickly - shop early and often), size 8 16" circular needle and dpns, stitch marker.
Homework: Cast on 90 stitches, join and work in K2, P1 rib for 6 rows. |
