Argyle socks are a classic!  This class will teach you how to customize your argyle sock for various gauges and sizes in order to get the best fit, how to seam the portions knitted flat so that they are comfortable for the wearer, how to deal with the yarn ends.   Students should have experience knitting socks.  If you have never done intarsia color block knitting, please consider taking the Feb. 29 Intarsia class as an introduction to the technique.
Materials: 3 or 4 solid colors in the same yarn weight - you may use any yarn from fingering weight to worsted weight; needles in a size appropriate for knitting socks with the yarn weight used (usually a size or two smaller than what is recommended on the ball band) - you will need straight needles and dpns OR you can use a 32" circ for the Magic Loop technique; tapestry needle; pattern will be provided by instructor.
Homework:  Please do a gauge swatch prior to class. If you are unsure of how to do this, please come to Rox's Thursday night clinic (free of charge) prior to the start of the class.
